It’s easy to get drawn into applying to jobs that you know deep down you have no interest in. Perhaps the salary is decent. Or there’s a lot of holiday on offer per year to be had. But spending your efforts on the wrong things will only lead you into a role that you’ll probably end up leaving in a few months. So, decide what you want to do, and put all your energy into that.
Renovate your CV and Cover Letter

Before An Interview
Take time to write down and practice answers to questions you expect to get during the interview. Voice your answers out loud, in the mirror, to gain confidence and clarity in what you’re going to say. Moreover, you will need to;
- Find or buy a great interview outfit.
- Print your CV for the interviewer. Just in case they forget to bring it with them. It shows you’ve come prepared.
- Plan your journey to the interview location to ensure you allow enough time to get there.
- Practice self-care to quell anxieties. Eat well, sleep well, exercise, and rest before the interview.
