As 2018 comes to a close and we strive into the New Year, it is a perfect time to look to the future and to celebrate the projects that are carrying us forwards positively into 2019. Therefore, we were delighted to finally be able to cover the Lake Turkana Wind Power project, the largest investment by the Kenyan government to date. This impressive project represents a vast wind farm that has been in the pipeline since 2006, and finally went into commission last year. Now, Kenya will be able to begin to see the benefits of this source of sustainable energy, which should both clean up a large portion of Kenya’s energy sector, safeguard it for the future, and lower energy prices for every-day Kenyans. On top of that, they already have multiple initiatives in place for helping the local area, so there are many reasons to be excited!
As well as looking forwards, it is a time to look back, and this year, our car review team got together to reminisce on all of the automotive treats they played with in 2018, and between them, they voted for their ultimate Top 3. Which three do you think it will be? Some of the choices might surprise you.
With our December and New Year celebrations still ringing in our heads, we couldn’t resist also speaking with Tong Woh Enterprises, the Malaysian wine merchants. Of course, our Amazing World team couldn’t start a New Year without examining what this time can mean for people.
