Season’s greetings from the Endeavour team!
2017 is drawing to a close at last, and like the year before, it has been a rollercoaster in terms of business, politics, environmental news and, almost certainly, everybody’s lives. Wherever we live, we cannot escape the feelings that exist in our world at the moment – hope, and anxiety, battle it out in powerful numbers through the peaks and troughs of world news, which gets faster and more accessible to us every day. With so much information, and such high stakes ever to play for…perhaps December is here to remind us to slow down, mute all of that background noise for a moment, and re-tune.
For much of the world, now is the time to step away from the office, put away the sales figures, and embrace the peaceful Christmas and Hanukah period. Of course, for some of us, this run-up to the holidays is of our business work period, whilst for others, it is some of the slowest and most tedious. For others still, our religious holiday has already passed, or won’t be for several months more.
There is a rhetoric of global unity around these December holidays, and yet in reality, this month is a unique and varied experience for us all. However, here at the Endeavour offices, Christmas is definitely upon us; it’s starting to get frostier outside, and we’re beginning to eye up the tinsel and hang decorations on our trees. So, from us, a very merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday season to all of our readers, whether it is a holiday for you this month or not. We hope it’s a month of peace, recharging, and time with loved ones. We’ll see you in the New Year!
